Delivery & Returns
Is there a delivery charge?
Once a product is added to the basket our system will automatically calculate delivery charge. The initial charge is based on delivery within Mainland UK. Once you proceed to checkout and enter your actual delivery address the charge will be recalculated according to the delivery destination. We are able to deliver to areas other than mainland UK and Ireland. For example the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands and the Scottish Islands, but a delivery surcharge might apply.
When can I expect my order?
All goods ordered by you and available ex-stock will be delivered within 2-3 days from the date of your order, unless we agree with you an extended period for delivery. Please note that some of our items are sourced directly from suppliers factory’s & therefore can take a little longer. Please also note that delays may sometimes occur due to manufacturers holiday times.
What if my delivery contains damaged goods?
Our quality control team inspects all goods immediately on receipt of delivery from our suppliers (to check for faulty goods or for signs of damage during transit to us) and then again prior to dispatch from our warehouses, so as to avoid supplying you with faulty or damaged goods. However, in the event that the goods received by you are for any reason either faulty or damaged, you should contact us within seven days from the date on which you have accepted delivery of the goods, by phone on 01202 857140, or by email at email@example.com quoting your Order Number, or using our Contact Us form.
In that event, we will either replace the goods, or supply you with replacement parts to repair them. You have the right, in the event that the goods supplied are either faulty or damaged, to have the goods returned to us, by arrangement with our Customer Service Department, and to have a refund of the purchase money paid by you. Provided that you notify us of the defect or damage within a reasonable period of time after delivery and provided that the damage or defect has not arisen following the date of delivery to you. Alternatively, you may agree to accept the supply by us of replacement goods, subject to the same terms and conditions as in the supply of the original goods. None of these remedies mentioned in any way affect your statutory rights as a consumer under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended), or otherwise.
Do you deliver outside of the UK and Ireland ?
We are able to deliver to areas other than mainland UK and Ireland . For example the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands and the Scottish Islands, but all transport costs, will be normally greater then delivery to Mainland UK.
We can also deliver to most European countries, USA and Canada.

What happens if I decide to cancel my order?
Orders may be cancelled at any time before delivery for a full refund. Please contact us immediately on 01202 857140 or email email@example.com
alternatively use our contact us form. Please note however that any order will be subject to a minimum returns fee of 20% (Handling Charge) if notification of a cancellation is made more than 7 days after delivery.
SCF Hardware Returns
We hope you will be happy with your purchase. However if for any reason you are not, please follow the following instructions for returning items.
Please check your purchase fully on receipt. Transit damage must be reported within 2 days of delivery. All items and parts of items must be checked for any damage prior to assembly. If you change your mind for any reason and you wish to return your purchase you must notify us within 14 days in writing by letter, fax or email or telephone.
Unwanted items must be returned in a fully re-saleable condition, which includes being in the original, unmarked and undamaged packaging. Items must not have been used or assembled in any way.
SCF Hardware LTD retains the right to refuse a refund on any item not deemed to be resalable.
You must check all items and parts of items for damage prior to assembly. Returns cannot be accepted once the assembly process has begun.
Please note that we do not offer a free returns service. We do not refund the returns postage cost or the original delivery charge. We do not offer a free collection service. We do not accept responsibility for items lost or damaged in transit back to us. If returning your purchase by mail we recommend that you get proof of postage. You must include your customer order details with the package, as we cannot process a refund without these.
Once received the items will be checked and a refund issued within 4 weeks.
Made to order products cannot be cancelled at any time as these are made specifically to your order. These products can only be returned to us if they are faulty and not fit for purpose described.
Please note all returns are subject to a 25% restocking charge plus delivery charge back to the supplier if the item has been specially ordered in.
If your purchase is not fit for purpose, is mis-described, faulty, damaged, or incorrectly supplied, please contact us as soon as possible to arrange a refund or replacement. We will require you to return the item, as it may be necessary to return it to the manufacturer.
When collecting your order from our store or the warehouse you must inspect the item thoroughly before accepting it. We do not accept returns of any damaged items once they have been collected.
