The History of SCF Hardware

The Timeline

SCF Hardware has supplied furniture fixings to both large scale businesses and individuals since 1989. Over the years we have been through many changes, from products to location, to become the friendly and helpful furniture fittings company we are now. We initially provided just nuts and bolts to the building industry, but moved into supplying furniture hardware for the fashionable pine industry in the 1990s. Afterwards, we began supplying cabinet hardware and kitchen fittings to kitchen manufacturers, an area that is now a main aspect of the business, along with door handles, hinges, drawer runners, turned table legs and more.

The Service

Here at SCF Hardware, we have always prided ourselves on the service we provide to our customers. Since we first opened, our aim was to be like an ironmongery shop rather than a national retailer, due to our ability to advise which products should be used for the job as opposed to solely selling. With the ethos that every customer is equal no matter the size or value of the order, we have always strived to provide the customer with what they want, no matter how far out of the ordinary that may be. Our 11-person-strong workforce has developed and grown with the business, with most of our employees having been with us for 10+ years and customers that are more like friends.

There has been steady growth throughout SCF’s history, and we are still expanding today. With theintroduction of our second van, we can provide an even greater service. Partnering with large businesses such as Hettich and Hafele has helped us grow as we are able to stock new products such as these Hettich 4D Quadro extension runners. We continue to stay updated with the latest furniture fixings essentials, and attend multiple hardware shows to learn about the industry as it evolves. All of this contributes to the friendly service that we strive to maintain.
